Applications for the University of Glasgow’s African and Caribbean Excellence Award 2022/23 are now open. Eligible African and Caribbean students are invited to apply for the opportunity to study for free in the UK.

The University of Glasgow is offering 10 scholarships for international students from Africa and the Caribbean who are embarking on a postgraduate Masters program in any discipline for the 2022/23 academic session.

The following countries are eligible to participate in the University of Glasgow African and Caribbean Excellence Award:

Central African Republic, Chad, Comoros, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ivory Coast, Cuba, Djibouti, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Eswatini, Ethiopia, Gabon, Gambia , Ghana, Grenada, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Haiti, Jamaica, Kenya, Lesotho, L Iberia, Libya, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Mauritania, Mauritius, Morocco, Mozambique, Namibia, Niger, Nigeria, Rwanda, Sao Tome and Principe, Senegal, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Africa, South Sudan, St Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Sudan, Tanzania, Togo, Trinidad and Tobago, Tunisia, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe.


Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the University of Glasgow African and Caribbean Excellence Award, applicants must meet the following conditions:

  • Demonstrate academic excellence and hold qualifications equivalent to a UK 1stClass Honours;
  • Prepare an offer for a place on a postgraduate one-year master’s program for September 2022 admission;
  • Have international tariff status.

Application Process
How to Apply: Applicants must complete an application form in order to be considered for the scholarship, only holders of an offer can apply.
